How We Make Real Wisconsin Floors

Real Wisconsin Floors start here, in our family owned forest in the driftless region of Wisconsin.

Sustainable harvesting means only dead trees, dying trees, and very mature trees.

From our family-owned farm, we harvest about one tree per acre per year.

Our Woodmizer sawmill cuts logs into lumber to be stacked and then dried with clean solar energy.

The sun's energy dries our lumber in solar cycle lumber kilns.

Once the wood has dried, flooring blanks are cut and planed.

The blanks are planed to size, and it's great to plane with a partner!

Quality Control.

Finally, tongue and groove are added to each blank.

Flooring and lumber are stored in a climate controlled environment.

A job well done!
